Companion Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time veterinary technician or assistant. Applicant must have at least one year experience or a graduate of a credentialed veterinary technician program. Candidate must be customer service oriented, flexible, team-oriented and possess a strong work ethic. Duties include but are not limited to doctor support, inpatient care, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, client education, filling prescriptions, anesthesia monitoring and recovery, surgical admissions, and discharges, in house lab work, fluid therapy, dental prophylaxis, charting, and radiography. Weekend and holiday rotations required.
A veterinary technician is the primary support of our doctors. The duties of a technician require practical knowledge of hospital procedures, policies and services, patient treatment protocols, hospital computer systems, and the standard procedures, records, and terminology used in a veterinary hospital.
